BackTrack, weird, booting from USB Thumb Drive on laptop…
Installed BackTrack on USB Thumb Drive and tried run it on my laptop... this happens only on laptop. On VM and other PC was fine... Probably some driver problems... PS. lighting changes the view and in real it looks better and really weird...
Let’s Challenge: Final Fantasy – SWMC (Part 12) – Backtracked Preparations
Part 12 of "Final Fantasy" for the NES, played through Nestopia v1.41. This playthrough is only using one White Mage. Rules: 1.) I am only allowed to use a single White Mage. 2.) I am not allowed to use any other character. 3.) All characters except the designated White Mage must stay at 0 gained experience. Once dead, they may not be revived. 4.) Slain allies MAY be used to hold inventory items. This includes weapons and armor. Outside of this use, slain allies may not be used for ANY other purpose. Maybe this will help break up the ridiculous amount of surprise attacks I've had against me? Besides, I could probably use the HP for the Wizards. Maybe the additional Magic Points. More potions wouldn't hurt!

CCO-10/11: P-002, Section-2: Unconstrained Minimization: Backtracking Line Search & Gradient Descent. www.searching-eye.com Contents Exact Line Search; Inexact Line Search; Backtracking Line Search; Gradient Descent. Methods for solving the unconstrained minimization problems include Descent Algorithms. These are iterative solvers which iterates between the two steps to find the solution. Step-1 invloves finding a search direction (δx) and step-2 involves finding a step-length t to move in the direction δx. The step-length if found using the line search methods. There are two kinds of line search algorithms, the exact & inexact line search. Exact line search finds the step lenght for which the function f(x+tδx) is minimized ie t=argmin_sf(x+sδx). The inexact line search just finds the step length such that the function f(x+tδx) is approximately minimized. The most popular one is the backtracking line search algorithm which depends on two constants, α & β . Gradient descent is an algorithm which uses the δx=-∇f(x), ie the direction is the direction of maximum decrease of f(x). It uses the line search (exact or backtracking) to find the step-length to move in this direction. The performance of the algorithm is dependent on the sublevel sets of f(x) near optimum. This presentation shows how to practically apply and solve the Backtracking Line Search Algorithm.
Final project for CME 304: Numerical Optimization. The goal is to use optimization algorithms, in this case BFGS with backtracking line search, to find an optimal path for the ninja to escape the robots. This is the visualization of the trajectories. Video Rating: 5 / 5
